No matter how many makeup brushes I own, when I work on my makeup tutorials for this blog I always need one extra clean makeup brush to finish my look. Get ready for a massive brush review, because today I'm going to tell you all about the MSQ Professional Makeup Brush Set* by my favorite online fashion and beauty store Rosegal. I haven't written a review on brushes I usually use for my work, but some of them are getting pretty old, so I was waiting for this brush set to arrive with huge excitement.

  • Packaging

Let's start with the packaging. MSQ Professional Brush Set comes in a sturdy faux leather case with a huge zipper and from the inside, it looks just like a book. The brush case is pretty huge and heavy, but thanks to its sizing it helps to keep all the brushes in their places tight and secure.

Brushes came accurately packed in individual plastic packaging. I would strongly recommend you gently clean the makeup brushes before trying them out. Soap and water will remove any dust and loose hairs that may stay on the head of a brush. The handles of the brushes are wooden and ferrules (the part that holds the bristles together) are metal, everything glued tight and secure.

  • What Brushes Will You Get in the Set?

This brush set features makeup brushes with both synthetic and natural bristles, but all the brushes are easy to work with and feel soft on the skin. Synthetic makeup brushes from the set are best used for liquid textures – cream eyeshadows, liquid eyeliner, and foundations.

For loose powders and mineral foundations use big natural brushes with long hairs, for highlighters and contouring – medium size dense brushes. There is one very special synthetic brush for eyeliner or liquid pigments, it has a twistable handle and you can cover the bristles using it as a cap. I’m not sure why the designers decided to make this brush so special, but it can be very handy at times.

Overall in this professional brush set, you will receive 12 face brushes – three big regular brushes, three duo fiber brushes, four medium-sized brushes, and two synthetic brushes for concealer and cream foundations. For an eyeshadow application, you'll get 12 eyeshadow brushes: five different-size blending brushes, and seven synthetic and natural brushes for application.

And for the fine makeup work, liquid pigments, and eyeliner there are five different synthetic brushes. The quality of all the brushes is great, the only brush that was a little bit crumbled is the smallest precise eyeliner brush. If you take good care and carefully wash these brushes, they will last years and years, still looking and performing great.

Summarizing...

To sum up my review, the MSQ Professional Brush Set is amazing. It features every makeup brush you will need to create a beautiful makeup look. If you are searching for good and affordable makeup brushes to start your very own collection or you are a makeup artist and need a full set of high-quality brushes this is the best option. So what do you think about this brush set? I'm more than just satisfied with the quality and the quantity because a makeup enthusiast can never have enough makeup brushes!

Lots of love,
Liz
