Hi everyone, July is the seventh month of the year and a time for a new step-by-step makeup tutorial, inspired by Ruby — the birthstone of July month. Ruby stones are considered the king of gems and represent love, health, and wisdom. The rich ruby color looks especially beautiful on dark brown, black, and green eyes. Inspired by raw ruby gemstones, I've created a mysterious, sultry, and wearable Ruby makeup tutorial and you can recreate this beautiful makeup look without any difficulties following these easy steps.

How to Do an Eye Look Inspired by July Birthstone Ruby?

1. Start your Ruby eye makeup look with an eyeshadow primer. Evenly apply it all over your eyelid and blend it with the help of your ring finger. Eyeshadow primer will help your eyeshadow to last longer and look brighter. Fill in your eyebrows with matte eyeshadow or pencil.

2. For the next step I used coral red lipstick to give an eyeshadow an even deeper undertone. Try to apply the lipstick just on the movable part of your eyelid and blend the transition with your finger. But you can easily skip the lipstick step if you are sure of the intensity of your red eyeshadow.

3. Now it is time to apply matte red eyeshadow on the top of the lipstick. Use a dense natural eyeshadow brush and dab the color all over the lipstick. On the top of the red eyeshadow, I applied an intense matte eyeshadow with glitter to make this Ruby makeup look even more sultry and interesting.

4. The next step is to apply a highlighter under the brow bone and in the inner corner of your eyes. Don’t forget to blend the transition between the highlighter and the main color on the lid. Use a matte dusty pink eyeshadow and fluffy blending brush to make the blending process easier.

5. Apply a black liquid or cream eyeliner, drawing a beautiful wing. I also added a small triangle on the inner corner of my eyes and used black eye kohl to tightline the upper waterline. For the lower lash line and waterline, I used a matte white pencil, but you can also apply nude or beige color. This trick will make our eyes appear brighter and bigger. Finish the Ruby makeup look with a pair of gorgeous false lashes and mascara.
